A School Full of Stars
The whole of Sark School took to the stage at the end of March when they performed a musical version of Jack and the Beanstalk. Szymon Patermann was great in the lead role as the young man sent to market by his bossy mother to sell the family cow, Daisy. The story was beautifully told through song and dance with cameo appearances by Goldilocks and the Three Bears and the Three Little Pigs. Sam Shuker was suitably scary as the Giant and Jake Laylor, Imogen Gill and Candice Rogers narrated the tale. The younger children, some just four and a half, played excellent farm animals with wonderful costumes and masks and the older students made the props. The play was performed in the afternoon and evening to a delighted audience and made a lovely finale to the spring term.
