A Silent Nativity
Class One at Sark School broke with tradition for their annual Christmas play when they performed a silent production of the nativity at the Methodist Chapel on 12th and 13th December. Accompanied by music, the story was beautifully told through mime and with words projected on a screen behind the action. Stills were also projected of the silent film that the children have made of the nativity at various locations around the island. The children are also making other short films, all of which will be shown at a special Sark Film Festival to be held at the Island Hall on 10th February at 6pm. Suppers can be booked directly with the Hall from 7pm. Everyone is requested to don evening dress as if attending the Oscars. There will be premieres of the children’s films as well the presentation of Oscar Awards.
