The lads of the Sark Darts league hosted two of the world’s top players in November for Sark’s first ever charity darts exhibition event. Andy ‘The Pieman’ Smith and Terry ‘The Bull’ Jenkins took it in turn to play members of audience providing a great evening of entertainment. The star players were walked on by our very own glamour girls, Pippa and Mini, in rather cut down versions of their fire service kit and Dave Cocksedge was compere for the evening. The audience joined in the fun, especially when the magical 180 was scored. The Sark Darts league was formed in 2009 with just 8 players and has since doubled its number of regulars. This May they travelled to Herm to play their first away team match, which they won, and are hoping to challenge other teams within the Channel Islands next year. Organisers Steve Cole and Jim Hodge were delighted with their first exhibition event. They raised around £2,400 that will be given Sark’s Emergency Services including the lifeboat and the Flying Christine.
