On Saturday 10th August friends of St Peter’s Church held their annual fare in the vicarage garden. There were stalls selling books, home grown produce, plants, cakes and bric-a-brac as well as a tombola, raffle, coconut shie and all sorts of other games. The event raised over two thousand pounds for Church funds. St Peter’s is still in need of a full time vicar. Visiting priests have been taking the role for a month or so at a time for almost a year now and in September the Reverend Gill Nicholls will be returning for a month.
