Church Windows Almost Finished
Over the last few months five of the six beautiful stained glass windows in St Peter’s Church have been removed in turn and shipped to Guernsey where they have been completely restored by a local craftsman. The latest to return was the St John window, the first on left as you enter the church. The war memorial window will be the next window to go away and various events have been run around the island to raise the £6,000 its restoration will cost. At the time of writing less than £400 is needed to complete the total. It’s planned that this window, the last one, will be back in place in plenty of time for Easter.
