Sark on TV
The second series of the BBC’s ‘An Island Parish’ is currently being broadcast on BBC2 at 8.30 pm on Friday evenings. The first episode saw islanders throwing themselves into preparations for Christmas. Julie was busy working on festive costumes for her staff at Food Stop, the lights were switched on in the Avenue, Bas was delivering mistletoe and Persil, Dave Scott’s pet sheep, went to church. The first programme concluded with Christmas Eve and perfectly portrayed the charm and simplicity of life on Sark. There are six episodes in total which reveal what happens on Sark through the winter and during the run up to the tourist season in spring.
