Sark School’s Christmas events began this week with Class One’s nativity on 12th and 13th December in the Methodist Chapel. The older children will be performing their carol concert in St Peter’s Church at 6pm on Wednesday 14th. Sark’s carol singers are tuning up for their annual marathon, singing their way around the island on the 17th, 19th, 20th and 22nd December as well as performing at 11.30am outside the Gallery Stores on Christmas Eve. That’s the day when local shops and businesses offer drinks and festive nibbles while customers do their last minute Christmas shopping. Looking ahead to next year, Sark School holds their Film Festival and Oscar Awards night at the Island Hall on January 6th. On the 21st at 2pm there will be a jumble sale in aid of the Professor Saint Fund and Manorlands Hospice.
