There was good news recently for Sark’s Methodist Pastor Karen Le Mouton when she heard that she has passed all the requirements with flying colours and is well on the way to becoming a fully ordained minister. Karen has undertaken more than two years of study and training which has included a month long placement in inner city Birmingham. In September she will become a Reverend and has been guaranteed three further years in Sark. Karen’s studies though have not ended. She has more essays, presentations and assessments to complete by the summer and after she becomes a Reverend will have two further years as a probationary minister before full ordination in June 2017. Karen will be officially welcomed into the church at a special service on 29th August this year.
