Cruising with Manche Iles Express
Islanders and visitors were treated to a free boat ride around Sark this week thanks to the French ferry company Manche Iles Express. The company invited guests on board to view the Granville, the new boat they took delivery of last year to do the run from France to Sark via Jersey. The forty-metre vessel was skippered by Captain Pierre Hingant who showed everyone around the bridge including children from Sark School’s classes three and four. After heading around the north end of Sark the boat anchored in Derrible Bay for refreshments before returning to Maseline Harbour. Manche Iles run day trips from France and Jersey throughout the summer until the end of September. For more information visit their website at www.manche-iles-express.com.
