The population of Sark was more than doubled at the end of June for the third Sark Folk Festival. Over a thousand people attended the event that featured musicians from France, Britain and the other islands as well as workshops including Channel Island languages, drumming and various aspects of music making. Dance also featured with Morris dancers from Jersey and Guernsey as well as two ceilidhs. As well as the four stages at the festival site on the west coast there were also music and dance events held at various locations around the island. Food was provided by Sark caterers with a delicious choice from homemade cakes and vegetarian dishes to local scallops, fish and lobster.
