Historic Aircraft Over Sark
While Jersey and Guernsey held their annual air displays today, those of us on Sark had a tiny air show of our own. There were good views of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane joined this year by a Canadian Lancaster, as they positioned past the east coast of Sark from their base in Jersey to take part in the Guernsey display. A few minutes later they did a low pass over the centre of the island especially for Sark. A little later the Red Arrows also did a low swoop over the island streaming their distinctive trails of red, white and blue smoke; a real treat!
