Hungry Sailors in Sark

Father and son food fans Dick and James Strawbridge visited Sark last summer by boat as part of the ITV series ‘The Hungry Sailors’. While they were here Dick and James met local food producers including Tony at the Patisserie and Helen Magell in her organic market garden. They also visited Dave Curtis’s vegetable garden and Chris Nightingale’s dairy and made cheese from Sark cream. James tried his hand at shepherding with farmer Dave Scott then all were then invited back to the boat to share a meal made from Sark produce including roast lamb and gooseberry fool. The hour-long programme was broadcast this month and will be available on ITV Player at until August 10th https://www.itv.com/itvplayer/the-hungry-sailors/series-2/episode-8.

I would love to try the recipe for the slow-cooked lamb, the macaroni dish and the accompanying salad that James showed when he and Dick visited Sark, but I cannot find it anywhere on their sites. I am giving a dinner party for 6-people next week and this recipe would be perfect because you can prepare so much of it in advance. Would this be plossible please?

      Hi Carole,
I’m afraid we don’t have any recipes for that but best of luck with your dinner party, sorry we cannot be of more help

Hello from NZ! I have just been watching the episode of The Hungry Sailors in Sark. I love your programme. I also love the odd pieces of back ground music, & heard a song which I fell in love with, whilst James was dishing up his lamb. I was wondering if I could please have the names of the songs played during this episode?
