Jumbling, Sark Style
Zoe Adams and her team of helpers held a jumble sale this month in aid of the Professor Saint Fund, which helps islanders with the cost of prescriptions, and the Flying Christine, the ambulance boat that serves Sark and the other smaller Channel Islands. There was the usual selection of clothing, toys, books and bric-a-brac as well as raffles, a tombola and cake stall, all of which raised £643. There are two more jumble sales planned for early March, one on the 1st and one on the 8th. We are coming to the end of the jumbling season so if you live on Sark and are thinking of having a clear out, now’s the time! (With thanks to Rosie Guille for the photos).
