Lighthouse Keepers Visit Sark
Forty members of the Lighthouse Keepers Association visited Sark recently as part of a tour of Channel Island lighthouses. The Association celebrated its 25th anniversary this year and the group who came to Sark included members from the United States, Germany and Holland. Trevor Kendall, who maintains Sark’s lighthouse for Trinity House, showed them around Point Robert Lighthouse. The visit was especially interesting for Gordon Medlicott who was a keeper at Point Robert from 1968 to 1970. He was delighted to be back in Sark and said that the visit brought back many lovely memories of his time spent here manning the lighthouse.
