It’s that wonderful time of year where we can expect to see the arrival of new born lambs on Sark. Soon the fields will be filled with skipping lambs in meadows of lush green grass and colourful wild flowers. Sark is a truly magical island!

The vaccine is here! A crew member from Sark Shipping handed the box of vaccinations to one of Sark’s ambulance crew, who then delivered it to the Sark Medical Centre. The first doses are being given this Thursday. Great news!

Death in Plain Sight. Guests at Stocks Hotel were transported back in time to the Occupation over the last two Saturday nights for the Sark Murder Mystery Company’s dinner production of ‘Death in Plain Sight.’ The story was set in the hotel in 1943 when proprietors Hedley and Edith Baker (Gavin Nicolle and Fiona Heald) are hosting a dinner attended by the new German Kommandant. The opening of our fabulous new slaughterhouse here on Sark today by His Excellency Sir Ian Corder. He also presented a plaque to engineer and project manager John Robinson who did all of the research and design work on this. A really positive thing for Sark and the future of our farmers and our pastoral landscape.

The Sark Dairy Trust was set up to raise money for a new dairy on Sark. On Saturday a fundraising event was organised by one of the trustees, Richard Axton and held at Time and Tide.
