The 5th of November was a day to remember in Sark this year but not for any reasons relating to gunpowder and plots. It was PJ Day, a day for coming to work or school in your nightwear, and despite the chilly weather, plenty of people in Sark took part. The event was organised by Jimmy Martin to raise funds for the Royal British Legion and Jimmy himself wore his PJs, along with the other carters down at the harbour, to unload the island’s cargo. Sark’s school children took part too along with many others at work in the Avenue and the event raised over three hundred pounds.
