Sark Bike Race
Sark Sports Club held a bike race with a difference recently with their annual bike race. Not only did their race start and end with a drink in a pub but the competitors had to drink a pint at each of the three stopping points, making a total of five pints in all. 25 contestants took part starting at the Bel Air then heading for Beauregard, Stocks Hotel and the Island Hall before finishing at the Mermaid Tavern. Glen Williams won completing the course in just less than 18 minutes. The rest of the contestants took a little longer and some of them looked slightly wobbly on their two wheels before they finally made it across the finishing line!
