Sark School Olympics
Pupils at Sark School took part in their own version of the Olympics at the end of term that included both sporting and creative events. The pupils worked in teams, yellow, red and blue, with every win contribution points towards their team. The competition opened with a swimming and diving gala and included all sorts of events on sports day as well as the annual running race. (The winners of the infants race were Martin Nicolle and Mali Chatterton, Jake Lalor and Imogen Gill were the fastest juniors, Michael Major and Stephen Dewe drew as seniors and the first senior girl home was Tia Lalor.) One day was spent indoors for a French-themed competition where the children illustrated flags and mottos, completed a jigsaw challenge and built an Eiffel Tower out of boxes. The week was great fun with lots of teamwork and individual success. Cups were awarded to Mali Chattertaon, Jake Lalor and Jack Bateson.
