St Peter’s Church Fare
On Saturday 11th August St Peter’s Church held their annual summer fare in the vicarage garden. The stalls included tombola, various raffles, coconut shie and all sorts of other traditional games. There were two stands selling mouth-watering homemade cakes as well as a book stall. New for this year was ‘guess the weight of the vicar and her husband’. While the entry with the nearest guess has been announced the exact weight remains a mystery which the reverend Gill says she will only reveal for a hefty donation to church funds! The afternoon raised almost £3,000, an amazing amount for a single event.
