Weaving in the Cider Barn
The Sark Tapestry Weaving Group held two very successful open days this week in the cider barn. Visitors were invited to try their hand at tapestry weaving either on a piece of their own or by adding a few stitches to one of the three panels that will make up an image of Les Autelets, an on going project started by the group last year. Project organiser Amanda Petrie was delighted with the open days and by the enthusiasm for the art form shown by the dozens of visitors who took part. The tapestries will continue to be displayed and worked on throughout the summer at Sark’s art co-operative, Coumme-Nous, near the Island Hall.
