The vaccine is here! A crew member from Sark Shipping handed the box of vaccinations to one of Sark’s ambulance crew, who then delivered it to the Sark Medical Centre. The first doses are being given this Thursday. Great news!

Sark Theatre Group took to the stage this weekend with their pirate-themed pantomime, ‘Greybeard’s Christmas.’ The story begins on Christmas Eve on Sark when Greybeard the pirate (the meanest, nastiest old sea dog ever to cross the Big Russel, who also happens to suffer from seasickness, played by Gavin Nicolle) announces to his crew that what he really wants for Christmas is to give up…

Death in Plain Sight. Guests at Stocks Hotel were transported back in time to the Occupation over the last two Saturday nights for the Sark Murder Mystery Company’s dinner production of ‘Death in Plain Sight.’ The story was set in the hotel in 1943 when proprietors Hedley and Edith Baker (Gavin Nicolle and Fiona Heald) are hosting a dinner attended by the new German Kommandant. Much to Hedley’s consternation his…

He also presented a plaque to engineer and project manager John Robinson who did all of the research and design work on this. A really positive thing for Sark and the future of our farmers and our pastoral landscape.

The Avenue was closed to traffic and set up with chairs and tables, Time and Tide kindly donated the food, the use of the venue and their staff diligently served the guests ensuring all…

The exhibition in the old Island Hall, next to St Peter’s Church is now open to the public. The exhibition gives an insight into what it was like to live on Sark during the German Occupation between 1940 and 1945. There are also personal stories of some of the islanders. The image below, courtesy of Sue Daly Productions, shows Sark resident Nellie Le Feuvre standing in front of her wartime…

John Hunt of the Royal British Legion on Sark, has gathered together, in the form of a celebratory poster, all the residents that are currently living on Sark who were also present when the island was liberated by the Allied Forces 75 years ago.
