The Isle of Sark Shipping Company’s new ferry, the Corsaire de Sercq, came into service today and will be doing the crossing from Guernsey in just 35 minutes, a quarter of an hour faster than the older vessels. The ferry, whose name translates as the ‘Sark Pirate’, is 12 years old and was bought from a company in France where it was operating out of St Malo.

The 2022 Sark 10 race will be on Saturday 4th June. The day includes a kids race (approx 2km), 5km and 10mile running races, and a 10mile walk which starts an hour before the running. There are splashes of brightly coloured flowers emerging all over The Island along the hedgerows. In the next month or so there will be wild spring flowers pushing through. The best time to see them in their full multi-colour glory is mid-April.
