Painting Tuition
A descendant of one of the first families to colonise the island in 1565, Rosanne has always expressed her love of Sark through her watercolour paintings and sketches of its coastline and wildlife. She has been showing her work through her Gallery on Sark since she left the Royal College of Art in 1997 where she gained her Masters Degree in Natural History Illustration and Ecological Studies.
In 2011 Rosanne organised ‘Art for the Love of Sark’ a project in conjunction with the international non profit organisation the Artists for Nature Foundation. Twenty of the world’s finest wildlife and landscape artists visited Sark to paint, draw and sculpt the unique nature of the island with a view to highlighting its importance and the need for its protection. The book ‘Art for the Love of Sark’ which showcases their work is available at the Visitor Centre and the Coumme Nous arts cooperative for £25.
Rosanne offers private painting tuition. Please contact her on 07781 122385.
