Sark on Autumnwatch
The nocturnal world of Sark’s marvellous marine life features on the BBC’s Autumnwatch series this week. Resident wildlife photographer and film-maker Sue Daly reveals the colourful and fascinating creatures that come out after dark near Maseline harbour including prowling lobsters, hunting cuttlefish and the curious John dory. “Autumn is a great time for night diving,” explains Sue. “The sea is at its mildest, it goes dark much earlier and there’s plenty to see down there as creatures that stay hidden by day come out in search of food.” Sue’s piece can be seen on Autumnwatch on Tuesday night on BBC Two at 8pm. (As Autumnwatch features live pieces schedules can be changed.)
