Welcoming the start of Wildflower Fortnight
Sunday 24th April sees the start of our glorious Wildflower Fortnight! It kicks off with a Guided Walk in Little Sark. Book at the Visitor Centre 01481 832345, and meet at La Sablonnerie at 2pm. Tickets cost £4/£2 children. Our flowers are looking just fabulous, so come and see what all the fuss is about and why we celebrate them! Please keep tab on all of the Guided Walks during Wildflower Fortnight on our events page www.sark.co.uk/events/. Discover Sark with new walk guides for each walk, and you will be taken to places you may never have seen. Enjoy the sights and smells of our green island at a leisurely pace. Some of the flowers you may spot are Wild Garlic, Red Campion, Bluebell, Thrift, Sea Campion, and many many more. ‘Wild Flowers of Sark’, written by Susan Synnott, is a very comprehensive guide available at the Visitor Centre for £10.00 We also have free leaflets and walk routes. Give us a call for more information on Wildlower walks and themed walks, of which there are many. Walking Week will be taking place in October with a host of free walks. So look out for that!
